Mary Ann Carney's Obituary
Mary Ann “Quail” Carney, 62, of Fredonia, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at her home. Mary was born on February 9, 1961, in Arkansas City, KS, the daughter of Leland Jackson and Cecil Lorretta (Beard) Burns.
Mary was one of ten children, she enjoyed fishing and camping, going to yard sales and thrifting. Mary enjoyed working on puzzles and doing crochet work.
Mary had a joy of seeing people and working with them. She enjoyed this so much, she decided at a young age to take a job working for Ottawa Carnivals, where she traveled and operated amusement rides and was always able to see and talk with different people.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings: Kathy Martinez, Rufus Burns, Evelena Thomas, Deborah Phillips and Orlis Bryant.
Cremation has been requested, and a graveside memorial service will be held at a later date.
