Mary Louise Cassity's Obituary
Mary Louise Cassity, age 86 of Beaumont, TX, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017 at Country Place Senior Living in Chanute, KS. Mary was born on February 10, 1931 in Lyon County near Madison, KS, the daughter of Emil William and Anna Mary (Conrade) Jeck.
On November 19, 1949, Mary married James Earl Cassity in Madison, KS. Jim preceded her in death in 2016 after 66 years of marriage.
Born and raised on the family farm near Madison, Mary graduated from Madison High School in 1949 and became a homemaker after marrying Jim. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family meant a lot to her and she loved spending time with them. Mary enjoyed traveling and visited every state except Alaska and Hawaii. She also enjoyed doing needlework in her spare time.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Jim; brothers, Lawrence Jeck, Leo Jeck, and Tony Jeck; sisters, Madeline Harlan and Gladys Earnshaw; and grandson, William Cassity.
A public viewing will be held on Friday, March 17, 2017 from 5-7:00 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home-Johnson Chapel. A Christian Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Countryside Funeral Home-Johnson Chapel immediately followed by burial at Vilas Bethel Cemetery.
