Mary Madeline Gutierrez's Obituary
Mary Madeline Gutierrez, age 88, of Chanute, KS passed away on Monday, April 1, 2019 at Diversicare in Chanute, KS. She was born on July 9, 1930 in Chanute, KS the daughter of Jose and Juana Jimenez. On November 24, 1951, Mary married Francisco Gutierrez at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Chanute.
Mary enjoyed doing yard work, being outside, crocheting and sewing. She was a wonderful cook and a hard worker, always making sure that her family was well taken care of. She loved her family dearly and would do her best to make it to all of the grandchildren’s activities. She most of all loved her grand babies. Mary was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Frank; brothers, John Jimenez, Steven Jimenez, Cruz Jimenez and William Jimenez and a sister, Lupe Cook.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 5, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home Johnson Chapel in Chanute, KS. Rosary will be recited on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 9:15 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Chanute followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Chanute. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com. The family suggests memorials to be made to Harry Hynes Hospice and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
