Mary Ellen Lemon, age 91, a resident of Mineral Wells, TX for the last 22 years passed away on February 4, 2013 at Weatherford Regional Hospital in Weatherford, TX. She was born on January 1, 1922 in Fredonia, KS the daughter of Edward F. and Mildred (White) Porter.
Mary Ellen was united in marriage to Harvey Ellsworth (Pat) Lemon on February 9, 1938 in Howard, KS. The the union of this marriage was four children.
Mary Ellen moved to the Elk Falls, Moline, KS area as a very young girl and resided there until she moved to Texas. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker. Mary Ellen worked at Elk Manor Nursing Home for 15 years.

Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, husband Pat of 45 years, 1 grandson Terry Lemon, 1 great grandson Michael Wilson, 5 brothers Cecil, Walter, and Claude Baughn, Joe and Jim Porter, 1 sister Nettie Belle Alexander.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Elk Falls United Methodist Church with Pastor Dena Allison officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, from 3-4 at the funeral home in Howard. Burial will follow at the Elk Falls Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com.
