Mary Louise Buck's Obituary
Mary Louise Buck, age 83, a resident of Severy, Kansas passed away Friday, June 25, 2010 at Galichia Heart Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. She was born on September 18, 1926 on a farm near Howard, Kansas the daughter of Glenn Orval and Margaret Jane (Clum) Miller.
At age 16 Mary graduated from Howard High School and enrolled in the Kansas Teachers College and received her teaching certificate. Mary taught school at some rural schools in Elk County. She worked for Boeing in Wichita and also owned and operated Mary’s Drive Inn in Severy.
In 1945 Mary was united in marriage to Eugene Signer and he preceded her in death in October 1976. In 1980 she married Nicholas Buck and he preceded her in death in February 2009. Mary was a member of the Severy United Methodist Church, UMW, Rebekah Lodge and the Morning Therapy Coffee Group at Tripco.
Mary is survived by two sons; Lyle Signer of Perry, Georgia and Ted Signer of Houston, Texas, one brother Dan Miller of Howard, Kansas, seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son Dennis Signer and one brother Ted Miller.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at the United Methodist Church in Severy, Kansas with Pastor Charles Cryderman officiating. Viewing will be Monday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Grace Lawn Cemetery in Howard. Family suggests contributions to the Severy United Methodist Church and may be left with the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com.
