Mary Frances Robb went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 07, 2025.
Mary Frances Brown was born on June 12, 1935 to Elmer Lee Brown and Carrie Lee Philips Brown in Harriman, Tennessee. She had 2 sisters, Dorothy Moore, Nancy Howard (Charles), and 1 brother Allen Brown (Carolyn), all from Harriman, Tennessee.
On May 28, 1956, Mary married Harry Gordon Robb of LaHarpe, Kansas. They made their home in LaHarpe and raised 5 children there, Linda Renee Mead, Jason (Kinzleigh, Zeegan, Holden) of the home, William Gordon Robb, Yvette (Melissa, Josh, Emilee) , of Gas City, Robert Allen Robb (Ashley, Sara, Allen, Tasha) of LaHarpe, Carrie Frances Riebel, Randal (Chase, Grace) of Gas City, Rebecca Ann Hedman, Mike (Shelly, Lisa) of LaHarpe.
Other family included 20 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Mary was a member of LaHarpe Methodist Church. After her children were grown, she worked for the local school district as a part-time janitor and assistant cook. She spent several years bowling on a lady’s bowling league. Traveling to Tennessee to see family was a highlight of many summers. Mary loved working in her flower beds and collecting angels of all sizes.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Gordon, a son William Gordon, grandchildren Tasha Robb, and Allen Robb, and her parents and siblings.
Mary will be so missed. She had caring hands and gentle ways about her. Here rosy cheeks and sweet, sweet smile could melt the coldest heart.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Countryside Funeral Home in Chanute. Burial will immediately follow at La Harpe Cemetery.
