Mary Eileen Roecker's Obituary
Mary Eileen Roecker passed away on February 8, 2017 at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute, KS. Eileen was the daughter of Matthew William and Sarah Myrtle (Adams) Heller and was born in Topeka, KS on January 31, 1930. She married Joseph Wendell Roecker at St. Patrick Catholic Church on February 7, 1949. He preceded her in death on May 27, 1998.
Eileen graduated from Chanute High School in 1948. After marrying Joseph, she took on the role of a farmer’s wife and was a loving and hardworking mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Eileen loved to cook for her family and enjoyed the time she spent with them. She especially liked to attend the school programs and 4-H events for her grandchildren. Eileen volunteered at St. Patrick’s Bargain Store and worked the polls for the Neosho County Election Board. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Chanute.

Eileen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph; and brother, Jack Heller.
A Rosary will be recited at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Chanute, KS on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in Chanute, KS.
