Maudena Faye Chard's Obituary
Maudena F. Chard, age 81, a resident of Humboldt, Kansas passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at the Allen County Hospital in Iola. She was born on September 6, 1928 in Moran, Kansas the daughter of Charles and Mary Annie (Alumbaugh) Fletcher.
On September 21, 1945 Maudena was united in marriage to Charles Richard Chard in Iola. Maudena worked as a manager in the dry cleaning business. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Iola. She was a member of the Relief Society in the church. Maudena enjoyed cooking meals for her family. She also sewed and did alterations.
Maudena is survived by her husband Charles, one daughter Deborah Gatling of Arlington, Texas, three grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and eleven brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 4, 2009 at 10:30 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Iola. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Humboldt. Family suggests contributions to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and may be left with the funeral home. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.countrysidefh.com.
