Max Ormand Hileman's Obituary
Max Ormand Hileman, age 80 of Wichita, KS, formerly of Howard, KS passed away September 14, 2020 at his home.
Max was born October 12, 1939 in Fiat, KS to Ivory “Boots” and Ida (Coon) Hileman. He grew up in Elk County along side 2 siblings, Jack and Bette. On June 5, 1960, Max married Denola Mae Croney in Howard, KS. They were married 30 years until her passing in 1990. Max later married Edith Horton on February 11, 1991. She survives at the home.
Max had several hobbies. He liked to hunt and fish, ride motorcycles and watch old western movies. He also enjoyed watching Bat Masterson on METV. Max also attended auctioneering school in his younger years. He retired from Cessna after 34 years. He spent most of his life in Elk County; however, as his health declined, he moved to Wichita to be closer to his doctors.

Max loved his kids, grandkids and his dog Simba.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Denola, 2 siblings Jack Hileman and Bette Goffe, 2 great grandsons, Tyler and Jeffrey Jordan, and 2 sons Randy Schaible and Roger Horton.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 18, 2020 at 1:00pm at Grace Lawn Cemetery in Howard, KS
Memorial contributions in Max’s name can be made to the American Heart Association and can be mailed to or left with the funeral home.
