Melba Mitchell's Obituary
Melba Mitchell, age 91, of Neodesha, Kansas died Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at the Golden Living Center in Fredonia. Melba was born on May 5, 1916 in Fredonia, the daughter of Edgar and Esther (Miller) Millis. They later moved to the family farm in Duck Creek Township where she was raised.
In October of 1933 she married Merle McPherson, they later divorced. In 1946 she married Emmett Mitchell, he died in 1958. Melba loved to dance, go fishing, sing and entertain her grandchildren.

Brother: Eugene Millis Neodesha, KS
8 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren, 5 Great, Great Grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son John Mitchell.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, July 30, 2007 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with Pastor Dave Cheshier officiating. There will be no visitation.
