We’ve lost a truly remarkable man, a 100-year-old veteran and farmer whose strength, wisdom, and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
He was the first veteran I truly connected with when I returned to KVH, and that bond meant the world to me. He was also a dear friend to my Grandpa Crow, which made our connection even more special.
His stories, his love for collecting pens, and his incredible sense of humor will stay with me always. We shared a love for gardening, and I’ll always remember the conversations and quiet moments spent talking plants, life, and history.
It was an honor to know him. I’ll carry his memory with deep gratitude.
