Victoria Johnson . (Tori) Granddaughter
I am very honored and blessed and proud to be the very first grandchild of merry (gma Edwards)...(we used to have an inside joke about me being the first one in the oldest how I was always the favorite but she did love all of her family and all her grandchildren the same but it was still fun to tease and joke and see the smile and giggle out of her about it).. she was a very beautiful smart woman who didn't take sass from no one and knew how to raise her children and most importantly her grandchildren..IE..me..lol..to be strong willed, proud and keep family close. i will admit that's where I get my "prissiness" from ...because she was very beautiful very elegant. It was not for my grandmother I would not be the woman I am today I will miss her very much and unfortunately I was not able to be with her towards the end weeks , which I deeply regret, however I know that she knew how much I loved her. I have a memory of being in the kitchen and I always love to take pictures and we were talking about memories of my past teen years spending them with her and how the kitchen used to be set up before they did remodeling ,and how she taught me how to make homemade gravy on the stove . she was stirring something on the stove at that point in time while we were talking about this..and I said "hey Grandma" and I clicked the picture of her and then we took a few selfies and she was like look at me, I have a credit shirt on and my hair is not combed, and I'm just in the kitchen cooking.....so I said Grandma you are very beautiful this is the best way to have a photo , and I have this photo and I have so many other memories but this one sticks out. All we could do is just laugh at each other and enjoy the moment and that's what my grandma was about!!!!. This part is respects and memorial for my husband Chris who says I ended up being Grandma's favorite anyways lol as she always enjoyed his company and always had fun. She is a very respectful woman and he will miss her and sends condolences to the family! One of his favorite memories he has is her always feeding him or us but making him try salmon patties and also always having Jello or pudding and dinner to where they both were teasing me that I didn't make it for him he had to come to Grandma's to get it!! In the smile and the giggle on her face just made everything perfect. You will be missed Grandma you are very loved I hope that you're in peace and please give my son a hug for me while you're there till I get there I love you Grandma!! Love always Tori.
