Michael Eugene "Mike" Mugrage's Obituary
Michael Eugene Mugrage, age 57, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2014, at his home in Chanute. Mike was born November 15, 1956 in Kansas City, MO. the son of Gene and Jan (Callahan) Mugrage.
Mike graduated from Chanute High School, and attended K-State University for a short time. He was a well-known business owner of No-Mug Construction. Mike was a friend to all. He did not know a stranger. His selfless generosity, compassion, and commitment have left a lasting impact on his family, and the entire community. Family and friends found endless comfort in his profound love and support. He will be sorely missed by all and will forever be loved, remembered, and cherished.
He is survived by his companion; Karen Drisdell of the home, daughter; Jennifer Taylor and husband Todd of Chanute, father; Gene Mugrage and wife Sherry of Chanute, mother; Jan Fuller and husband Frank of Iola, KS., brothers; Jim Mugrage of Chanute, Scott Mugrage of Chanute, sisters; Leanne Courter of Chanute, Janelle Bowman and husband Mike of Columbus, KS, Chris Mugrage of Miami, FL, step-brothers; Brian Coots and wife Lisa of Mountain Home, AR, Brad Coots and wife Kaci of Girard, KS, granddaughters; Ashley Taylor of Chanute, Haley Taylor of Chanute, and great-granddaughter; Briley Webb, and numerous nieces and nephews to whom he was affectionately referred to as “Uncle Mike.”
A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, October 3, 2014 6:00 p.m. at his residence located at 4133 S. Katy Rd., Chanute, KS. Interment will be a private family service held at a later time.
Memorials may be made to either the Chanute High School Booster Club, or the Chanute Elementary School PTO New Playground. Memorials may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
