Michelle Lee Wessling, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister, passed away peacefully at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas, on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the age of 53. She was surrounded by the love that defined her life.
Born April 7, 1971, in Chanute, Kansas, to Bob and Glenda (Gibson) Clements, Michelle’s life was a testament to her warm heart and vibrant spirit. She graduated from Chanute High School in 1989 and furthered her education at Chris' Beauty College, embarking on a 35-year career as a talented and dedicated hairstylist at Tangles Hair Salon in Chanute. Her skill and gentle touch brought joy to countless clients.
On January 15, 2000, she married the love of her life, Landon Wessling, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Together, they built a beautiful family, cherishing every moment. Michelle’s greatest joy was her family. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Landon; children Tiffany Wessling of Chanute, Jordan Loftis of Iola, and Trey (Alexis) Lind of Chanute; and her cherished granddaughter, Kaia, with another grandchild on the way. The bond she shared with Kaia was especially precious to her.
Beyond her family, Michelle found solace and happiness in simple pleasures: relaxing by her pool, enjoying side-by-side rides, and the company of loved ones.
Michelle was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Glenda Clements, and her brother, Chris Clements. She is survived by her loving husband, Landon; her children and granddaughter; her sister, Cari (Chris) Cavender; and her brothers, John (Becky) Clements, and Jay (Stacie) Clements and step mother, Raye Clements.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Countryside Funeral Home.
