Milo Vernon Benson's Obituary
Milo Vernon Benson, age 69, of Fall River, Kansas passed away at his home Tuesday, July 17, 2007. Milo was born on November 30, 1937 in Hadley, Minnesota to Oscar and Gladys Solem Benson.
After high school Milo served in the United States Air Force. After his military service Milo worked for Valassis Communications as a warehouse shift leader in Wichita, Kansas.
On August 6, 1981 Milo was united in marriage to Thelma "Sam" Upson in St. Paul, Minnesota and she survives at their home.
Milo was preceded in death by his parents, 9 brothers and 5 children. He is survived by his wife Thelma, three daughters; Laurie Vredenburg of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Terri Benson of Salina, Kansas, and Dianna Anderson of Toronto, Kansas, four sons; Gary Benson of Ft. Adkinson, Wisconsin, Keith Benson of Fredonia, Kansas, Milo C Benson and Mark Benson both of Wichita, Kansas, four brothers; Ronald of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, Maurice of Salina, Kansas, Jerome of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Michael of Independence, Kansas, twenty grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, July 23, 2007 at the Countryside Funeral Home, Fredonia, Kansas. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 PM on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be at 2:00 PM Monday at the White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Wichita, Kansas.
Family suggests contributions to the Harry Hynes Hospice and may be left in care of the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Countryside Funeral Home, 420 S. 20th St., Fredonia, KS.
