Myrl Humphrey Ford's Obituary
Myrl H. Ford, 89, of Chanute, KS passed away at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center on February 17, 2019. He was born in Longton, KS on November 14, 1929 to Dayton and Marie (Kimzey) Ford. Myrl married Maurine Mears on April 25, 1951, in Chanute. She survives.
Myrl was a strong, quiet, and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who was completely devoted to his family. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking, and made sure all of his family had completed wood projects from him. Myrl had a very strong faith and was a member of Colfax Baptist Church for years, where he was a deacon and trustee, before becoming a member of Chanute First Baptist. He worked as maintenance foreman at HBD Industries in Chanute, where he was employed for 30 years.

Myrl was preceded in death by his parents and eight brothers.
A visitation is scheduled at Chanute First Baptist Church on Friday, Feb 22, at 10:00 a.m. with a service following at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Neosho County Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute, KS. Online condolences may be left at: www.countryside.com. The family suggests memorials be made to Chanute First Baptist Church and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 16 N. Forest, Chanute, KS 66720.
