Nancy Lee Bryant's Obituary
Nancy Lee Bryant, 72, of Chanute passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Heritage Healthcare. Nancy was born on February 1, 1951 in Little Rock, Arkansas, the daughter of Bryant and Marie (Scarberry) Bryant.
Nancy's family moved to Chanute when she was a child and she graduated from Chanute High School in 1969. Education was very important to Nancy, and she was a lifelong learner who achieved numerous Bachelor's and Master's degrees. In 2003, Nancy married Peter White. They were married for five years until his passing in 2008.
In her spare time, Nancy loved reading, doing genealogy research, and traveling, especially to Galveston Beach in Galveston, Texas.
Nancy will always be remembered as a very intelligent woman who had a soft spot for stray animals and a genuine love for those with special needs. Nancy is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Nancy is survived by her parents Bryant Bryant and Marie Bryant, her daughter Jessica Scott, her brother Ronald Bryant, and six grandchildren: Samantha Brown, Parker Brown, James Scott, Jesse Scott, Jase Scott, and Jett Scott.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Peter White.
Cremation has been requested with no services planned at this time. Services entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 101 N. Highland, Chanute, Kansas 66720.
