Nancy Carol Manly's Obituary
Nancy Carol Manly, 70 of Chanute, Kansas passed away at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.
Nancy was born on December 31, 1953 in Iola, Kansas to Robert Neal and Dorothy Magdaline (Riebel) Yokum. Nancy attended the Humboldt school system. On June 4, 1972, Nancy married the love of her life, George David Manly at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Humboldt, Kansas. Through the years Nancy and George welcomed 4 children. Nancy was able to stay home and care for her children and home. During her free time Nancy loved going fishing and bowling and crocheting. She also was very active in the pool leagues in Chanute. She enjoyed cooking and baking but most of all she loved the time she spent with her loving family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Dorothy Yokum, sisters, Joyce Beck, Evelyn Jones and Phylis Yokum, and brothers, Lester and Bryan Yokum.
Nancy’s memory will carry on with her husband, George Manly of the home, daughters, Marilyn Manly of Chanute, Angela (Noie) Manly of Chanute, Crystal (Aaron) Myer of Chanute, son, James (Becky) Manly of Chanute, brother, Gary Yokum, sister, Linda Cravens and 15 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Countryside Funeral Home and the family will hold a Celebration of Nancy’s life at a later date.
