Nancy Jean Smith's Obituary
Nancy Kathleen (Rush) Smith, age 69, of Chanute, passed away Monday, May 23, 2016 in Chanute, Kansas. Nancy was born on August 16, 1946 in Chanute, KS the daughter of Harold and Juanita (Westbrook) Rush.
Nancy grew up in Chanute and graduated from Chanute High School in 1964. On March 20, 1972, Nancy married David Smith who preceded her in death in 1995. She then married Charles Smith on April 10, 1998 and he preceded her in death in January 2007.
Nancy worked as an administrative assistant for 42 years at the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant in Parsons. She loved to take care of her children and after retirement she would volunteer in any way that she could. Nancy was a member of the New Life United Brethren Church in Chanute and was very involved in the church.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, David Smith and Charles Smith and a brother, Kenneth Sandy Rush.
There will be a service on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 10 AM at New Life United Brethren Church in Chanute. Interment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute.
