Nancy Jo Welling's Obituary
Nancy Jo (White) Welling, 85, a resident of Chanute, KS and former resident of the Wichita area, passed away Friday, June 10, 2022 at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center. She was born on October 29, 1936 to Robert and Daisy White in Udall, Missouri.
Nancy graduated from high school in Wichita, KS, met Joseph Rodriguez at the Orpheum theatre there. They were married for approximately 20 years and together had six children; they later divorced. Nancy spent the early years of her children’s lives in the home caring for them. She was an avid baseball fan, she even kept the books at games. She loved Elvis, going fishing and anything else that gave her an opportunity to spend time with her kids.
On January 5, 1982, Nancy married George Welling. They were married for 38 years until his passing in 2020. In their years together, George and Nancy enjoyed travelling all over and creating post rock art. One of their pieces was gifted to President Ford and is still present at the White House.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to (ACARF) Allen County Animal Rescue Foundation in Nancy’s honor and can be mailed to or left with the funeral home.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute, KS at 3:00 pm.
