Naomi Nadine (Boan) Bluma's Obituary
Naomi Nadine (Boan) Bluma 74 of Colorado Springs, Co passed away Saturday, March 26th, 2016 at her home. Naomi was born on December 12th, 1941 in Chanute, KS. The daughter of Ray Boan and LaVerne (Storey) Boan Miller. She attended Chanute High School. In 1957 she married Harold Markham in Chanute, Ks. They later divorced. From this union they had 3 children, Sherry, Junior and Skip. In 1972 she married Adam “Sonnie” Bluma in Miami, Ok.
Naomi worked at the Burlington Overall Factory,ICL, Kustom Electronics before becoming a beautician at Guys and Gals Boutique until 1987, when she moved to Colorado. She worked at Goodwill and ARC for 29 years until her unexpected death.
Naomi loved to travel and work in her yard. She had a strong work ethic and rarely missed a day of work. Naomi loved her family and extended family.
She is survived by her husband Adam “Sonnie” Bluma of Colorado Springs, Co
Daughter – Sherry Audiss and husband John of Bloomfield, NM
Sons – Harold “Jr” Markham and wife Susan of Buffalo, Ks. And Roger “Skip” Markham and wife Terri Jo of Chanute, Ks
Step-son Tony Bluma of Colorado Springs, Co.
She is also survived by ten grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Brother’s – Lewis “Joe” Boan of Buffalo, KS. and Albert “Jack” Boan of Altoona, Ks.
Sister’s – Leona Hanson and Husband Tom of Colorado Springs, Co and Donna Tripp and husband Richard of Chanute, KS
Naomi was preceded in death by her parents, step father Charles Miller, first husband Harold Markham and a sister-in-law Louise Boan.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home Gibson Chapel in Chanute. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 4, 2016 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home Gibson Chapel 16 N. Forest in Chanute.
