Naomi Lee (Davis) Turner's Obituary
Naomi Lee (Davis) Turner, age 83, passed away on November 29, 2015 at NMRMC in Chanute. She was born on July 11, 1932 in Exeter, MO the daughter of Nellie (Craft) and Jess Davis Sr.
Naomi married Herbert Turner on October 30, 1948 in Neosho, MO. They just celebrated their 67th Anniversary. She worked as a CNA at Heritage Healthcare and Ozark Estates for many years.
Naomi loved quilting and sewing and cooking and would cook for anyone that came to her house at any hour. She loved to watch her Royals play and was an avid fan. Naomi was strong in her faith and lived her life in that way. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them and she especially loved to hear her children singing.
Naomi was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Junior Davis and Almus Davis, her sisters Carol Ard and Ona Mae and one grandson, Dustin Turner.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert, her children: Rita (Wesley) Dillow of Chanute, Rick (Darlene) Turner of Humboldt, Earl Turner of Mondovi, WI, Debra (Will) Chism of Chanute, Randy (Valena) Turner of Chanute, Connie (Donald) Chism of Huntingdon, TN, and Tim Teurner of Mondovi, WI; brother, Merle Davis of Chanute; sisters, Betty Craft of Iola, Jane Pease of Iola, Linda Harris of Quapaw, OK, and Melba Hutchins of Joplin, MO; 22 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held Friday, December 4, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Chanute, KS. Interment will be at the Moran Cemetery in Moran, KS
Family requests memorials to Windsor Place Home Care and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home at 101 N. Highland, Chanute, KS.
