Neal Franklin Osborn's Obituary
Neal Franklin Osborn, age 85 of Elk Falls, KS, died Thursday, January 15, 2015 in Oklahoma City, OK. Neal was born on August 19, 1929 in Elk Falls the son of Frank B. and Lucy (Small) Osborn.
After High School Neal joined the US Air Force and served his country for 3 years. On June 4, 1953 Neal Married Phyllis Ann Esch. Phyllis and Neal have been married for 61 years. Neil was very active in the community. He was the owner of O & B Oil Company, and a stockholder and director of the Howard State Bank.
Neal was a member of the Masons, Shriner’s, Cattle Herders Association, American Legion, Kansas Petroleum Marketers Association, and the Kansas Livestock Association. Neal and Phyllis were also Committee Chairpersons for the Republican Party. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, training bird dogs, fishing, playing golf and gardening. He had an extensive collection of many things. Neal was a great historian, he wrote a book of amazing sayings that he loved to share with everyone. Neal was an avid supporter of the Longton Little League Baseball Association.

Neal was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters; Neva Lea Barnaby and Ruth Royse
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 10:30 am at the Elk Falls United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held Monday, January 19, 2015 from 4-7 pm at Countryside Funeral Home in Howard.
