Neil E. Kisner's Obituary
Neil E. Kisner age 69 of Chanute, Kansas, passed away at Heritage Health Care on Thursday March 20, 2014 surrounded by his family. Neil was born the son of Jim and Gladys (Harling) Kisner on September 7, 1944 in Gas, Kansas.
On March 28, 1965 he married Carolyn Hoke in Iola, Kansas. Neil work for Cobalt Boat Factory for 29 ½ years. He also served in the National Guard from 1962-1969. Neil enjoyed going to the races, fishing, and hunting.
Neil is survived by his wife Carolyn of Chanute, children; Cora McGaugh and husband of Fredonia, Neil Kisner Jr. and wife Vickie of Chanute, Linda Harris of Chanute, siblings; Richard Kisner and wife Diane of Rogersville, Missouri, Nancy Smith and husband Marvin of Custer Oklahoma, Tom Kisner and wife Barbara of Des Moines, Iowa, grandchildren; Blake Kisner and Camron Harris and Mitchell Habiger, Adrian Harris, great-grandchild; Kai Harris.
Neil was preceded in death by his parents Jim and Gladys.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at on Friday March 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church on West 2nd in Chanute. Countryside Funeral Home Johnson Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Family suggests memorials to whomever people choose.
