Nina May Matlock's Obituary
Nina May Matlock, age 84 of Chanute, KS, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2019. She was born April 25, 1934 the daughter of Irvin F. and Wilma D. (Donaldson) Gregg.
On January 8, 1955, Nina married William “Bill” Matlock in Erie, KS. She attended Alcott school in Chanute and later graduated from Chanute High School. Nina worked as a nurse and enjoyed taking care of people. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and painting. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Chanute.
Nina is survived by son, Ronald Matlock and wife Patti; sisters, Dee Schultz and husband Wayne and Reta Stanley; sister-in-law, Nan Gregg; grandchildren, Amy Semey and Daron Matlock; great grandchildren, Erika Small and Mathew Matlock; great-great grandchildren: Zachary Matlock, Easton Matlock and McKenna Matlock and nieces and nephews: Danny Schultz, Tammy Schultz, Shari Rimel, Vickie Smart, Kenny Stanley, Lisa Lynch, Ricky, Debbie, Rob, Patricia and Roxanne.
Nina was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill and brother, Marvin Gregg.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home Johnson Chapel in Chanute, KS. Graveside service will be on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com. The family suggests memorials to be made to American Cancer Society and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 101 N.
