Norma Jean Hall's Obituary
Norma Jean (Olson) Hall, 87, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at her home in Erie, Kansas. Norma was born on July 23, 1928 in Odense, Kansas the daughter of Virgil L. Olson and Myrtle (McGuffy Van Buskirk.
On August 4, 1945 Norma married Milford Hall and they had 4 children together. Milford survives Norma in death.
Norma graduated from Erie High School and attended some college before getting a job as a bookkeeper for Neosho County. Norma enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, cooking and baking, sewing and quilting, and reading. She also loved all of her animals.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Leon Olson.
She is survived by her husband, Milford, her daughters Linda Gill of Wichita and Lila (John) Pegues of Parsons, KS; sons Robert (Teresa) Hall and Brian (Melody) Hall of Erie, KS; brothers Everett Olson of Erie, KS and Nels Olson of Stark, KS; 1 additional sister and 2 additional brothers; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchildren
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home, Gibson Chapel in Chanute, KS. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home, Gibson Chapel. Interment will be in Odense Cemetery in Erie, KS.
Family requests memorials to Castaways Animal Shelter in Chanute, KS and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home at 101 N. Highland, Chanute, KS.
