Norma D McNeely's Obituary
Norma Dean McNeely, age 86, a resident of Grenola, Kansas passed away Tuesday, November 05, 2013 at her home. She was born on October 7, 1927 in Grenola the daughter of O. A. and Maggie (Crowther) Pinegar.
Norma graduated from Grenola High School. On August 11, 1946, Norma was united in marriage to William Jordan McNeely. They celebrated 62 years of marriage before William’s death on November 13, 2008. Norma worked for many years as a beautician. She enjoyed quilting, raising cattle and being a community supporter for Grenola.
Norma is survived by her son Mark McNeely of Porter, Oklahoma, her daughter Marsha Phillippi of Winfield, Kansas and 11 grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Cremation has taken place and a private inurnment will take place at the Winfield Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the A.T.R.C. (American Therapeutic Riding Center), P.O. Box 880, Sand Springs, OK 74063 or may be left with the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com.
