Nova Jean Ecton's Obituary
Nova Jean Ecton age 66 of Fredonia, died Thursday, January 11, 2017 at Fredonia Regional Hospital. Nova was born on November 14, 1951 in Neodesha the daughter of David and Dorothy (Knoles) Lohr.
Nova was a graduate of Neodesha High School class of 1969. Nova worked most of her life as a customer service specialist, with JC Penney and Carmark, and as the front end group manager for Alco. On October 2, 1971 in Neodesha, KS, Nova married Charles L. Ecton Jr. Nova and Charles have been married for 46 years and he survives at their home.
Nova was a member of the Order of Eastern Star for almost 50 years. She also served as a Girl Scout leader. Nova enjoyed going to the Senior Center and playing Bunko, she enjoyed knitting and doing crochet work. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Son: Charles David Ecton and his wife Dacia of Fredonia, KS
Brother: Greg Lohr and wife Janet of Winnsboro, TX
Sister: Lanah Downing of Paola, KS
Sister-In-Law: Patty Lohr of Andover, KS
4 Grandchildren: Sophia, Olivia, Kinzley and Paxton Ecton
Numerous nieces and nephews, and several cousins.
Nova was preceded in death by her Parents, brother: Steve Lohr, 2 nieces and 1 nephew
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia. Visitation will be held, Monday, January 15, 2018 from 5-7 PM at the funeral home. The family suggest memorials to either; The Wounded Warrior Project or the Fredonia Library and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
