Orlis Cleo Bryant Jr's Obituary
Orlis Bryant, Jr. passed away January 22, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Ft Scott, KS. Orlis was born in Hillsboro, KS on Oct 18, 1966 to Orlis Bryant, Sr and Cecil Lorretta Bryant.
After aquiring his education, Orlis worked as a forklift driver, and also served 10 Years in the Army National Guard. He was very proud to serve his country, and was a proud member of his motor cycle club, The American Vets Club. With his club, he was active in the Toys for Tots every year, and the laying of the wreaths at the cemetery.
Orlis was the family jokester, always making people laugh when they were around him. Most of all, Orlis was a proud grandpa, loving his grandchildren dearly.
Orlis is survived by his fiance Debbie Woods, son Daniel Bryant of Chanute, daughter Deanna Walker of Fredonia, grandchildren Blade, Gavin & Jade Kidd, Cora Ruth, and Bentley Scheeringa. He is also survived by sisters Gloria Stone, Evelna Thomas, Deborah Phillips, Mary Carney, and Betty Burns; brothers John Degard and Boyd Burns.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Kathleen Martinez, and brother Rufus Burns.
Cremation has been requested, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to the American Vets Club and can be left with or mailed to the Funeral home at PO Box 247, Fredonia, Ks 66736.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, Fredonia.
