Orville Harlan Gueulette's Obituary
Orville Harlan “Shrimp†Gueulette, 90 of Fredonia, KS, died Thursday, February 12, 2009 at Golden Living in Fredonia Kansas. Orville was born December 20, 1918, in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, the son of Joseph Gueulette and Lillian (Eflin) Gueulette.
Orville was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Fredonia. He served in the United States Army from 1942 until 1946 and received the rank of Staff Sergeant. Orville also worked for Lafarge Cement for 37 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post #8 in Fredonia, and the V.F.W. Post #3018 in Fredonia. He loved to hunt and fish, and loved to cook fried turtle for everyone. Orville also had a huge garden that was shared with everyone in the community.
On February 25, 1946 in Fredonia, Kansas, Orville was united in marriage to Georgia Hoskins, they were married for 62 years until her death of January 17, 2009.

Orville was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Georgia, and brother Lawrence Gueulette.
Visitation will be Monday February 16, 2009 from 2P.M. to 8 P.M. with family receiving friends from 6-8 P.M. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday February 17, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia, with Pastor Jeremiah Baird and Pastor Max Dawson officiating. The family suggests memorial contributions to the: The American Cancer Society, or the Kansas Society for Crippled Children and may be sent to the funeral home.
