Patricia Burton's Obituary
Patricia Burton, 85, of Thayer, Kansas passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024, at Heritage Health Care in Chanute, Kansas. Pat was born and raised on a farm in rural Thayer to Parm and Pauline Robertson. After high school, Pat attended Ozark Christian College. She loved the Lord and loved to sing praises to him. She was an active member of the Humboldt Christian Church until it closed. She was strong and independent. She loved her family and raised her two children Paula and Robert alone. She kept in touch with all her nieces and nephews. Pat received her CNA in 1985 and worked until she retired. She then began full-time volunteer work. She volunteered at the Humboldt summer food program, Humbolt Senior Center, and various nursing homes, including, Heritage Healthcare until she moved in as a resident; even then she still helped the other residents. Pat loved her flowers and liked being outdoors as much as possible. She liked to walk outside and ride the bike in the PT room. Pat always wore a hat; at Heritage, when she came out of her room one of the aides would say here comes Pat in the hat.
