Patricia Elaine Leroy's Obituary
Patricia Elaine “Pat” Leroy of Chanute passed away Saturday, January 11, 2014, at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute, KS. Patricia was born September 10, 1951 in Chanute, KS, the daughter of Esker and Lois (Fairchild) Burt.
Pat graduated from Chanute High School, and then went on to attend Parsons College for a while, before returning back to Chanute. On June 20, 1969 she married Robert Leroy, he survives at the home. Besides being a wife and mother, Pat was well known for being the preschool teacher of many children at Gingerbread House Preschool on Ashby St.
Pat is survived by her husband Robert, her mother Lois, daughters; Amanda Hamilton and husband Cody of Chanute, KS, Angie Waggoner and husband Jim of Fredonia, KS, sons; Chris Leroy and girlfriend Danielle Baker of Chanute, KS, Mark Ford and wife Stacy of Chanute, KS, eight granddaughters, and one grandson (whom she had the joy of meeting before she passed away).
She was preceded in death by her father Esker Burt, and a granddaughter, Mercadeze Autum Waggoner.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday January 15th, 2014, 1:30 P.M. at the Zion Lutheran Church of Chanute, KS, with Pastor Daniel Ramsey officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park
Cemetery on 14th St. Visitation is on Tuesday January 14th from 6-8 P.M. at Countryside Funeral Home Gibson Chapel on 16 N. Forest in Chanute, KS. Family suggests memorials to the Sunshine Preschool at Zion Lutheran Church in Chanute
