Patricia Lavon Richardson's Obituary
Patricia Lavon Richardson age 75 of Fredonia, died Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Vintage Park in Fredonia. Patricia was born August 30, 1941 in Lebo, Kansas the daughter of John Edward and Gladys Pauline (Marler) Hutchings.
Patricia was a graduate of Fredonia High School class of 1960. She worked most of her life for the local printing companies in Fredonia. Patricia loved to square dance and was a member of the Promenade Square Dancing group. She enjoyed doing genealogy and was a fan of watching Nascar and her favorite driver, Kyle Busch. Patricia was active and supportive in the Family Readiness Group for the military 891st division. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed being with her friends.
In 1961 she married Merle Richardson and they later divorced. Most of all, Patricia loved being with her family and enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up. Survivors include her daughters, Anita Martin of Fredonia, KS and Cheryl Sanders of Independence, KS; sisters, Ruth Bagby of Augusta, KS and Dee Sumner of Springdale, AR; grandchildren, Erica Black of Independence, KS, Codi Martin of Emporia, KS and Shane Sanders of Independence, KS; great –grandchildren, Jaxton Black, Jakoby Andres and Ezekiel DeVore all of Independence, KS; nephew, Marshall Sumner; niece, Rita Kuykendall; and great-nephews, Matthew Sumner, Gus Sumner, Max Kuykendall, and Jake Kuykendall.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia, with burial at the Fredonia City Cemetery with Pastor Mike Hughes officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from 4-6 PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com.
