Patricia Ann Shanley's Obituary
Patricia Ann Shanley, age 64, of Chanute, KS, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Diversicare in Chanute. Patricia was born March 4, 1950 in Pontiac, Illinois, the daughter of Harold Edward Dunahee and Margaret Louise Gapen.
Patricia graduated from Pontiac Township High School in 1968. Patricia also attended Waever Airline School in Kansas City, Missouri. She worked as an apartment building manager. Patricia was an avid lover of the Wizard of Oz and also enjoyed doing interior decorating.
Patricia is survived by her children; John Patrick Allen and wife Mandy of Independence and Traci Ann Allen of Chanute, grandkids; Cameron Akins and Corey Akins of Chanute.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Margaret Dunahee.
Cremation has taken place.
Private family service will be at a later date.
Family suggests memorials to the St. Patrick’s Catholic School, and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home. Countryside Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. On-line condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com.
