Paul Annon Guess Jr.'s Obituary
Paul Annon Guess Jr., age 83 of Fredonia, KS, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at his home. Paul was born on October 23, 1933 in Olathe, KS the son of Paul and Dorothy (Rose) Guess Sr.
Paul graduated from Holton High School in Holton, KS, where he was all state football and basketball champs, he was recruited and played basketball for Phog Allen at KU. On June 30, 1951 in Chanute, KS, Paul married Darline Audiss, they were married for 62 years until her death of October 7, 2013.
Paul was an Engineer for KDOT for over 20 years, he and Darline then owned and operated a filling station/grocery store called 15th Street Market. Early in the 1980’s, he and Darline begun farming and ranching on the Woodson / Wilson County Line. Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family, and he never retired from his farm.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, wife Darline, and Brother Douglas Guess
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 10:30 AM, at the Buffalo United Methodist Church with Pastor Jimmie Yoo officiating and burial to follow at the Buffalo Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, June 2, 2017 from 5-7 PM at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com.
