We learned today of your passing from a friend of mine in Kansas. It was hard to believe you were taken so soon. Though we do not understand why. God must have a plan for you. There are so many memories both good ones ( Like when we visited you in Chanute ). There was also sad ones ( like when dad was passing. You dropped everything and came ). No matter if it was good times or sad times we where always a family. From your forgotten family. It was hard to believe that you were gone when I heard the news. The family has lost too many too soon. We were just getting to know each other. You were brave, kindhearted and generous to reach out to us after so many years. I was impressed with your intelligence and warmth. I truly enjoyed your visit to Springfield a few years ago and showing you around Lincoln's home. I learned many things about you that day and was surprised by how many interests we had in common. I am happy that my sons met you, and am very proud to call you my brother.

in honor of Paul.

I'm thinking one of the last times I saw Paul was quite some time back cause it was before I had kids. Doug and I lived out east of Wichita and my mom lived south. Anyway our phone rang and some guy was telling me he took me home from a party the night before and wanted to know I was ok. Well I didn't know who he was and I argued about the ride since I hadn't gone out the night before. He swore he had and anyone who knows Doug can imagine his reaction. Not good. Well Doug started to take the phone away and I heard this man laughing. No one has a laugh like my cousin does. I yelled into the phone I was going to kick his butt for almost getting me in trouble with Doug. Anyway we went to moms to visit and I'm sorry to say its the last time I remember visiting with him. It is also sad to think I never got to meet his family or him mine. My only excuse is life got in the way. We think everyone will always be there forever but I'm starting to realize that's not the case. Paul was to young to be taken but I guess the good Lord has a plan for him. So I love you and until we meet again cousin inside those pearly gates.

I have known Paul for many many years first as a fun coworker at the Sonic in Pratt,then as a brother in law ,then as a friend again,Paul had some really rough patches in his life but inside he was always a good person even when he had a hard time seeing it and believeing it . I remember giving Paul a really hard time about his hair when he got back from boot camp because before he left he had such a beautiful head of wavy hair. Paul I know you will be sorely missed by many many family and friends .My heart goes out to your family ,Tammy and the chidren,your Mom Sally and Bob,and your siblings ,may God show you peace in this time of great loss.P.S. I sure hope you took your bike with you Mister Paul, the last time I seen you at Moms house in kinsley you said youd come back here one of these days and give me a ride I will be holding you to that my friend.
