So very sorry to hear this news. I worked with Paul for many years and he taught me so much. Paul (the college kids called him Paulie...so I did too sometimes) had a great sense of humor and always went out of his way for our employees, as well as our students. Paul was fearless too. One memory I will never forget...we had lost power to the campus one Saturday and Paul and I were the only ones here working. Well, let's be honest, I was following Paul around while he was troubleshooting the problem. We got to the main boiler room where the electrical switch gear was located and there was smoke coming out of the switch gear main electrical box. As we got closer, the main box literally erupted, smoke and flames spewing out of every crack and even some of the switch blanks. Without hesitation, Paul leaped forward and grabbed the electric switch main through the flames with both hands and shut down the electric. I was yelling at him to stop but he never hesitated and told me afterwards it was nothing..."barely singed the hairs on his arms." That was Paul to a tee. Nothing like that ever phased him. That's just one of a hundred stories like that. Paul taught me a ton about the college and hard work and life, and I will never forget him. My prayers are with Sarah and family.
