Pauline Scott's Obituary
Pauline Scott, age 97, passed away April 2, 2018 at Golden Living Center in Neodesha, KS. Pauline was born March 22, 1921 in rural Greenwood County, to Orval and Vada (House) Medearis. She attended and graduated High School in 1939 from Coyville, KS. After High School, Pauline married William McPurdy, and they later divorced. To this marriage, 2 sons and 1 daughter were born: Richard, Patrick, and Roberta. Pauline then married Ivan Davis and had 1 daughter, Beverly. They later divorced. Pauline was then briefly married to Boyd Scott. Pauline then lived in sin (as she put it) with John Darst until his death in 2008.
Pauline had many passions including knitting, sewing, gardening, and reading, but her greatest was dancing at the Altoona Senior Center. She retired from the Wilson County Highway Department in 1981, after working there for 22 years. She then worked for the Wilson County Health Department for a while in the 1990’s.

Sons: Richard McPurdy of Parsons, Ks and Patrick McPurdy and wife Rose Marie, of Snohomish, WA
Daughter: Roberta Drake of Neodesha, KS
Sister: Sharon Pfeiffer of Haysville, KS
6 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren, and 9 Great-Great-Grandchildren
Pauline was preceded in death by: Daughter, Beverly Harwood Davis, Grandson Nicholas McPurdy and companion John Darst.
The family has requested cremation, and will hold a memorial service at a later date.
