Peggy Sue Davidson's Obituary
Peggy Sue Davidson, 66, passed away at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center on Sunday, September 14, 2025.
Peggy Sue Davidson was born on December 26, 1958 in Parsons, KS to her parents Vern and Barbara Heilman and delivered by her grandfather, Dr. Emery C. Bryan. She was raised with her three sisters on their family farm in rural Urbana, Kansas. She attended Erie High School and graduated in 1976. She attended Neosho County Community College and Pittsburg State University and graduated in 1981.
In 1980 she met the love of her life, Gary Davidson and the couple married on May 30, 1981 at Galesburg Christian Church. Gary and Peggy welcomed their daughters, Diana in 1983 and Lisa in 1985. Peggy loved being a wife and mother and spent her lifetime selflessly devoted to her family.
In 1989, Gary and Peggy established Associated Professional Services insurance agency where Peggy served hundreds of local citizens with grace, kindness and compassion for 35 years. She was not just an insurance agent, but a friend to many of her customers.
Peggy was a talented pie baker and loved to surprise her family and friends on their birthday with their favorite flavor of pie. She enjoyed entering her pies in the Neosho County Fair and received over 15 grand champion ribbons over the years.
Peggy attended First Baptist Church for many years and Otterbein United Methodist Church in recent years, where she was a beloved member of the congregation.
Peggy had four grandsons and was the best grandmother on earth to those boys. They loved to come to Grandma’s house where she always had fresh sugar cookies and homemade ice cream for her boys. Peggy was also very close with her three sisters and loved spending time with them and going on mother-daughter trips.
Peggy had a special way with people and made friends wherever she went. She was a true friend who was always ready to lend a helping hand and would do anything she could to make life better for others. To know Peggy was to love her, and she will forever be in our hearts and greatly missed by all who knew her.
