Peggy Lynn Mudd's Obituary
Peggy Lynn Mudd, 63, of Chanute, KS passed away Saint Luke’s Hospital on November 30, 2017. She was born on January 22, 1954 in Topeka, KS to Carl and Connie (Nold) Nordt. On June 24, 2001, Peggy married Wayne Mudd and he survives at their home.
Peggy was a loving wife, mom, grandma, and sister. She loved her immediate family above all and they knew they could always count on her to be there for them. Spending time with her grandsons was one of her favorite things to do. She was a music lover who enjoyed attending concerts and making trips to the casino with Wayne. Peggy loved all of her cousins, nieces, and nephews and especially enjoyed time spent with her great nieces who were more like granddaughters. She loved celebrating birthdays and Christmas and was particularly fond of Christmas light displays. She worked as the office manager for Chanute Recreation Commission for the last four years. Peggy had a very strong faith and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Chanute.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Debbie Nordt.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 4, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home Johnson Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Chanute, KS. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute, KS. Memorials have been suggested to American Cancer Society and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to: Countryside Funeral Home 101 N.
