Peggy Ann Sierman's Obituary
Peggy Ann Sierman, age 89, a resident of Fredonia, Kansas passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at her home. She was born on July 21, 1925 in New Albany, Kansas the daughter of William and Adda (Moore) Bracken.
During World War II, Peggy worked for Boeing as one of the Rosie the Riveter’s. She moved back to Fredonia and began working at the First National Bank in Fredonia. She was united in marriage to Delmont Sierman on March 31, 1949. Together they farmed and raised cattle until Delmont’s death. Peggy continued farming and raising cattle until her health would no longer permit her. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fredonia.
Peggy is survived by her son Michael Sierman and his wife Diana of Fredonia; one grandson Chief Petty Officer Nick Sierman of Lemoore, California; two great grandsons, Conner Sierman; and Alek Sierman both Cherryvale. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother C. A. Bracken.
Funeral service will be held Monday, December 29, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Countryside Funeral Home with interment to follow at the Fredonia Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Harry Hynes Hospice or First United Methodist Church and may be left with the funeral home.
