Penny J. Isaacs' Obituary
Penny J. (Wolfe) Isaacs, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and great-aunt, passed away peacefully at her home in Fort Scott, Kansas, on Saturday, April 12, 2025. Born February 16, 1958, in Chanute, Kansas, to Charles and Mable (Kelly) Wolfe, Penny lived a life marked by kindness, compassion, and a deep love for her family and animals.
Penny graduated from Chanute High School in 1976 and went on to earn her radiology technician certificate in Wichita, Kansas. She dedicated her career to providing compassionate care as a radiology technician at Mercy and Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center.
Beyond her professional life, Penny's greatest joys were her family and her animal companions. She had a special place in her heart for dogs and cats, showering them with love and attention. A faithful member of the First Christian Church in Chanute, her faith guided her throughout her life.
Penny was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mable Wolfe; and her brother, Charles Richard Wolfe Jr., and his wife, Janice K. Moerer-Wolfe. She is survived by three nephews, one niece, ten great-nephews, and five great-nieces, all of whom will deeply miss her warmth and generosity.
Visitation for Penny will be held at Countryside Funeral Home in Chanute on Friday, April 18, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with a service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Castaways Animal Shelter at https://www.castawayschanute.com/ in memory of Penny's unwavering love for animals. Her kind spirit and gentle heart will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.
