Phyllis A. Doane's Obituary
Phyllis A. Doane, age 65 of Fredonia, KS, passed away Friday, October 9, 2015 at her home in Paola. Phyllis was born on November 28, 1949 in Lafontaine, KS the daughter of Orval “Shorty” and Otheal (Bennett) Culbertson.
Phyllis was a graduate of Fredonia High School class of 1968. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Fredonia. On May 8, 1967 in Oklahoma, Phyllis married Melvin David Doane, they were married for 36 years until his death in 2003
Phyllis had worked as a forklift operator at the Fredonia Brick Yard, and as a CNA. Her most important job was working at her home, family was everything to Phyllis and she enjoyed hosting many family get together’s and holiday meals.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, husband Melvin, sisters Sharon Jansen and Taffy Busch. Brothers Steven and Joe Culbertson, and step granddaughter Samantha Applegate.
Graveside services will be held, Saturday October 17, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Fredonia City Cemetery with Pastor Ray Pile officiating. Visitation will be Friday, October 16, 2015 from 4-7 PM at Countryside Funeral Home, Fredonia.
