Prudencio Coronado Trevino's Obituary
Prudencio Coronado Treviño 87, formally of Humboldt, KS passed away Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 9:37 a.m. with his family at his side at the Allen County Hospital. Prudencio was born on April 28, 1927 in Midland, Texas. Before starting his family in Jimenez Mexico, he eventually settled down for the remainder of his years in Humboldt, KS.
Survivors include his lifelong wife of 56 years Henrietta Coronado. Children include Frank Coronado his wife Sheila of Humboldt, KS, Lupe Amin and her husband Ali of Yukon, Oklahoma, Maggie Miesner and her husband Aaron of Independence, KS, Rosa Wehlage and her husband David of Humboldt, KS, and Henry Coronado and his wife Janea of Frontenac, KS. Prudencio's pride of his life were his kids, but nothing brought more joy to him than all of his grandchildren, Chris Wehlage, Ardy Amin, Dustin Wehlage, Jordan Young, Cameron Coronado, Stephanie Mese, Cydney Coronado, Kassidy Young, Amber Schafer, Kindahl Young, Avery Coronado, Colin Coronado, Gunnar Miesner and the late Bo Miesner. Great Grandchildren include Maddox Wehlage, Maddyn Wehlage, Aiden Amin, and Bentley Mese.
Prudencio was not only a Great husband, Father, Grandfather, and Friend, but a great baseball player. Many of the stories told throughout his life were about his playing days in Mexico, full of excitement and full of joy. Prudencio enjoyed driving around his local community, watching any T.V. show that consisted of any character that showed strong compassion of love, strength, and resilience. Prudencio was very proud of his background and heritage, and never shied away from an opportunity to be ornery. Prudencio will be remembered by family and friends for his approach towards other, always treating everyone in the upmost respect, full of pride and full of life.
Services for the celebration of life for Prudencio will all be held in Humboldt, Kansas. Rosary will be at the St. Joseph Catholic Church on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. April 21, 2015. Funeral services will be held at the St. Joseph Catholic Church on Wednesday April 22, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends and family of Prudencio are invited after the burial services at the St. Joseph fellowship hall for lunch and beverages. All stories and memories of Prudencio are more than welcomed. Family suggests memorials to the Allen County Animal Rescue Facility (ACARF) and may be left with the funeral home.
