Ralph E. Cline's Obituary
Ralph Edwin Cline, age 79, a resident of Fredonia, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita. Ralph was born on July 17,1933 in Buxton, KS the son of Lewis Loyd and Vera Alice (Ross) Cline.
Ralph graduated from Fredonia High School class of 1953. On July 19, 1953 at the United Methodist Church in Fredonia, Ralph married Edith Joeleen Fester. She survives at their home.
In June of 1955, Ralph joined the U.S. Army. After his honorable discharge, Ralph returned back to Fredonia. He worked for 30 years as a Sales Representative for Kansas Bank Note. Ralph also worked for the Fredonia School System for 14 years driving a school bus and mowing the school yards. Ralph also worked as an assistant funeral director for Timmons Funeral Home for 6 years.
Ralph was very active in the community, serving over 50 years with the Fredonia Fire Department, served as a board member for the Fredonia Library, Fredonia Recreation Center, the Fredonia Zoning Committee, State Bank of Fredonia, a member of the Jay Cee's and the Lions Club. Ralph supported numerous programs throughout the community.

Janet Ratzlaff and husband Rusty of Fredonia, KS
7 Grandchildren: Kristin Cline, Jared Ratzlaff, Kendall Cline, Ryan Ratzlaff, Evan Ratzlaff, Amber Figgins, and Kayla Cline.
1 Great Grandchild: Jaydon Cline
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Kenneth and Lewis Cline: four sisters: Leota Smith, Velma Blair, Loretta and Imogene Cline.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, November 5, 2012 at 1:30 P.M. at the Fredonia City Cemetery with Preston Walker officiating. There will be no public visitation. The family has suggested memorials to the Fredonia Fire Department and may be left with the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com.
