Raymond E. Clark's Obituary
Raymond E. Clark, 73, of Humboldt, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014 at his daughter’s home in Humboldt.
Raymond was born in Pittsburg, Kansas on April 21, 1940, the son of Alva E. and Gladys (Stierwalt) Clark. He grew up and attended schools in Chanute.
He was united in marriage to Lena Johnstone on August 15, 1959 in Miami, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on August 8, 2008.
Raymond worked for Humboldt Brick and Tile, Advanced Systems Homes, and then worked at Gates Rubber for 14 ½ years until his retirement.
He enjoyed motorcycles, making the trip to the Sturgis Rally this year. He also enjoyed outdoor activities, but especially he enjoyed being with his grandchildren.
Raymond is survived by two daughters, Stacy Wright and her husband Howard of Humboldt, Teresa LaCrone and her partner Sha Garrison of LaHarpe; a step-daughter Chris Craig of Grove, OK; fourteen grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Lena; a son, Raymond Clark; and two sisters, Olivedean “Dee” Grieg and Eva Grayson.
Cremation has taken place.
The family will have a Celebration of Life on Saturday, April 19, 2014 from 12:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Riverside Park, 1st and Pine, Humboldt, Kansas. Dinner will be provided with prayer and a balloon release at 3:00.
Donations in his name may be made to the family to help defray funeral costs and may be left with the funeral home.
