Reta Fern (Rector) Willis' Obituary
Reta Fern (Rector) Willis, age 84, of Chanute, KS went to heaven on Thursday, February 4, 2016 in Chanute. Reta was born on November 8, 1931 in Dodge City, KS the daughter of Frances (Britt) and Clarence Rector.
Reta attended elementary school in Colorado and Macon, MO. Her family moved to Chanute and she graduated from CHS in 1950 and then attended one year at Central College in McPherson, KS. While there, she performed in the choir and was recognized numerous times for her singing ability. Reta was joined in marriage to Marion Willis on November 5, 1951, in Arkansas. Together they owned and operated Faith Well Service for 36 years. Reta and Marion attended First Baptist Church in Chanute.
Reta was always involved in her church. She would teach Bible school, sing in the church choir and helped others in need. She loved getting involved with missionaries and helping support them. Reta also enjoyed spending time with her family and being a part of their lives and she enjoyed making flower arrangements and sewing.

Reta was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Frances Ruth and a sister, Katherine Flowers.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Chanute. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Chanute. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com.
