Reuben Joseph Clark's Obituary
Reuben Joseph Clark, 70, of Warrensburg, Missouri passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 25, 2023. Reuben was born on November 20, 1952, in Versailles, Missouri, the son of Fred and Pauline (Dumler) Clark.
Reuben grew up in Warrensburg and attended the local schools. On February 14, 1972, Reuben married Carol Ann Ridge in Warrensburg. Reuben and Carol were married for 45 years until Carol’s passing on September 3, 2017.
Reuben was a long-haul truck driver and he absolutely loved being behind the wheel of his big rig. Reuben was also the family jokester and enjoyed being as ornery as possible. Reuben also enjoyed collecting guns and working on cars.
Reuben will always be remembered as a very Godly man and he was a member of Harvest Church in Warrensburg. He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Reuben is survived by his girlfriend Terri Curless of Lee’s Summit, MO, his son Joey Clark and his fiancé Sara Larkin of Chanute, KS, three sisters: Evaline Schnakenberg (Gary) of Gallup, NM, Mary McPherson of Warrensburg, MO, and Patricia Worthington of Warrensburg, MO, six grandchildren: Troy Clark (Whitley), Nikki Allen (Ross), Gage Clark (Alexis), Kaitlyn Clark, Emily Larkin (Kodi Hamrick), and Mitchell Larkin, and eight great-grandchildren.
Reuben was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Pauline, his wife Carol, and his brothers William Clark and Paul Clark.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Countryside Funeral Home. Services will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at the First Baptist Church- Good News Center in Chanute at 1:00 pm with burial to immediately follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials have been suggested to Countryside Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral costs and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
