Richard Dale Bailey's Obituary
Norma Lee Bailey, age 83 passed away August 7, 2015. Richard Dale Bailey age 88, passed away August 10, 2015 both of them passed away at NMRMC in Chanute, KS surrounded by their family. Norma was born on March 26, 1932 in Galesburg, Kansas to Elijah and Bessie Reeves. Richard was born on August 5, 1927 in Earlton, KS to Chester and Mary Bailey.
Norma and Richard were married on October 3, 1949. Richard served in the United States Air Force from 1945 to 1949. Norma loved crocheting and sewing while Richard loved fishing and wood working. They both enjoyed spending time with their family. When Norma and Richard retired they moved to Grand Lake. They had two children, Steven D. Bailey, and wife Deloras, Virginia L. Kamm and husband Dale both of Chanute, KS.
Norma is survived by her brothers; Donnie and Larry Reeves of Chanute, KS, and her sister Marie Mitchell of Hutchison, KS. Richard is survived by his brothers Jerry Bailey of Medford Oregon, and Veron Bailey of Earlton, KS. They had 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Cremation has been requested for both Norma and Richard.
There will be private family services at a later date.
Countryside Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the VFW post 1654, American Legion post 170 or Home Health and Hospice of NMRMC. They may be sent in the care of the funeral home at 101 N Highland Chanute, KS 66720.
