Richard "Dick" P. Coulter's Obituary
Richard “Dick” Coulter, age 77, of Chanute, Kansas, passed away on December 7, 2017 at NMRMC in Chanute. Dick was born on September 17, 1940 in Chanute, KS the son of Harry E. Jr. and Mildred (Bohling) Coulter.
Dick graduated from Chanute High School in 1958 and later received a Bachelor of Arts from NCCC. Dick was a proud veteran and was in the Navy from 1960-1964. On June 10, 1967 he married Mary Ruth Allday in Chanute, KS.
Dick worked for MPH in Chanute for about 15 years and then worked as a store manager for Oil Patch for 20 years before retiring. He enjoyed spending time with his family and serving in the church. Dick was a lifetime member of the Episcopal Church and served the church in many different capacities. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Chanute and an Elk member for 52 years.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Heather Coulter and a sister, Kathleen Coulter.
Cremation has taken place.
The family will have a memorial service on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Episcopal Church in Chanute. The service will be officiated by Reverend Joyce Holmes. The Chanute Honor Guard is in charge of military honors. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com. Memorials have been suggested to the Heather Coulter Scholarship at St. Mary’s in Leavenworth, KS or Grace Episcopal Church.
